MakeDox and the Faculty of Philology at the Ss.Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje organized screening in May of Citizen Europe supported by Moving Docs and Goethe-Institut Skopje. On May 21st, 2019 in Amphitheatre 3 at the Faculty of Philology the movie was screened and followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Tanja Kriger, the director of Goethe-Institute Skopje, and panel participants: NA Representative, EU Delegation Representative, Erasmus + project ex coordinator and current STRET TT partners from ARNO, and young person former beneficiary of E+.
Citizen Europe is a cinematic journey across Europe through the experience of five young participants of Erasmus – the world’s biggest mobility programme. The film’s characters leave the comfort zone of their country, to work, volunteer or study in different European countries, overcoming their fears and adapting to different mentalities. Set against the current European crisis, fueled by unprecedented youth unemployment and fears about the refugee situation, their journeys offer a bird’s-eye view of a continent in transition, giving a sense of what the future holds.
The event was attended by full room of young people, as well as students from STRET TT project partners HighSchool Korcagin. Irina Janevska from ARNO was sharing messages and experience on the previous STRET project and articulated the importance of comprehensive entrepreneurship education which is high on the EU Agenda.
