Student Photo Competition “Kindness is all around us, we just need to recognize it”

The project Students Today-Responsible Entrepreneurs Tomorrow (STRET) focuses on delivering tailored programs for promotion of Social Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility to high school students that are enrolled in the school subject “Entrepreneurship” in the three respective countries (Macedonia, Croatia and Lithuania). As Part of the project we are having photo competition to inspire students from  the city of Rijeka, Skopje and Radviliškis to recognize the good in our society by taking photos.
Students should take photos on the topics: Philanthropy, support, help, goodness, inspiration, empathy and everything that shares the positive message. The 10 best photos per city will be printed and exhibited at Gala fundraising event in Macedonia in May.
The best photo per city will receive an award.

The General Call:

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
•Only high school students from Rijeka, Skopje and Radiliskis are allowed to participate
•Send photo with complete information to the e-mails assigned per country
•Photos must be submitted by due date 19.04.2018 (23.59h). Entries submitted after this date will not eligible to win the prize
•It is not allowed to participate with more than 3 entries per author.

CONTEXT
•Photos that reflect: social responsibility, philanthropy, optimism (see above)
FORMAT
•Students can apply by submitting a digital photo. It can be shot by a phone, but it is not allowed to submit a drawing or a painting. 
TYPE
•The type of photo (landscape, portrait etc.) is not limited by guidelines
SIZE
•The size of the photo must be at least 1600×1200 px
•If the photo is taken by a smartphone it has to be full size (4MP-minimum)
•Submit the image in .jpg or .png format
TITLE
•Author’s name, age, school and telephone number
•Title of the picture
•Defined message-optional (maximum 50 words)
INTELLECTUAL RIGHTS
The photo needs to belong to the sender
After sending, the author gives up all of the intellectual rights they had to the organisers
PROFESSIONAL GUIDELINES
The jury will be composed of members that will evaluate the creative potential of the photo, the message on social responsibility and the innovative approach
DISCLAIMER
Photos including minors and peoples’ faces cannot be sent without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph
Photos cannot have previously won an award in a photo competition
Students who have attended a STRET training cannot participate in the competition
There is restriction of photos that are: 
Racially offensive photos
Sexually explicit photos
 Photos with abuse or violence of any kind

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Judges will review digital submissions received from students. Photographs will be judged on: Impact, Creativity, Composition, and Message of the photograph.
• Expression of the theme -capturing the theme.
 Creativity and originality – the original, fresh, and external expression of imagination of the author by using the medium to convey an idea.
 Composition – important to the design of an image, bringing all of the visual elements together in concert to express the purpose of the image. The most important elements are: light, blurriness, colour and focus
 Potential social impact – the sense one gets upon viewing an image for the first time. Compelling images evoke laughter, sadness, anger, pride, wonder or another intense emotion. The initial impact should evoke a sense of philanthropy, empathy, belonging to a community and doing good.
 Message – image‘s ability to evoke emotions, ideas related to the theme; the message of the photo
